Winter Wilson revealed to appear at 9th Annual Day of Folk

You heard us correctly. Winter Wilson has been added to the day's line-up.

Winter Wilson is back on the road, following a hugely successful UK tour with folk-rock legends Fairport Convention, and now featuring songs from their latest CD Far Off on the Horizon. As with previous offerings, this new album has met with great critical acclaim.

The Miracle Cure join our line-up

The Miracle Cure is a Sleaford-based duo who perform a mix of original and classic Americana folk songs in the style of Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris.

Both doctors, Dan and Philippa have been performing together for just over two years and have a keen following around Lincolnshire.

Seeing them at the 9th Day of Lincolnshire Folk on Sunday 5th August 2018 is a great opportunity to listen to enthusiastic and talented performers at the start of their Lincolnshire folk journey.

It is happening again this year for the ninth time!

It is happening again this year for the ninth time, Leadenham gets ready to welcome folk musicians and dancers in droves for a one day celebration of the Folk Music and the folk people of this great county.

The main Day of Lincolnshire Folk Music Dance and Song is on Sunday 5th August from 11:00 am onwards.

It is a day with three concert stages, the Courtyard Stage, the mightily chilled out Orchard Stage, both at the George Hotel and the Cake and Chorus Stage at Leadenham Teahouse (100m south from the George), in amongst the stalls at their mega Artisan Craft Market.

Day of Lincolnshire Folk turns eight years old

It is hard to believe that this is the eighth year in what has become a much-loved annual event that is now central to the Lincolnshire Folk Calendar.  As always the event celebrates the singers, dancers, musicians and culture of our fine county. Not just about our place in history, our Folk culture is ever-evolving, with new folk music – the folk heritage of the future is created and passed on. To that end, Lincolnshire is blessed with a myriad of songwriters capable of reflecting the county today and the people who live here.
